Our beaches

Just a two-minute saunter down a quiet lane from our vacation home is the Little East River Beach.

It's a lovely place for kids to splash and play, as the sandy bottom slopes gradually into the water.

Several families in the local community are actively involved in commercial fishing, and their picturesque wharves edge the beach on one side.

Like all beaches, it changes with the tide, the wind, the weather and the season.

Continuing on a short walk, you arrive at East River Beach, a long stretch of sand that rarely has more than a few people on it.

Further south along the scenic Aspotogan Peninsula, a 15 minute drive away, is Bayswater Beach, which has a take-out wagon and a picnic area with toilets and changerooms. Queensland Beach has similar facilities and is 15 minutes east. There are many other beaches within a 1-hour drive. You could visit a different beach every day!
